The marriage of Eilidh Grant and Chris Logan
THE COUPLE: Eilidh (27) is a hairdresser from Wallacestone, and Laurieston’s Chris (29) is an operations technician off-shore. The couple live in Redding with their 18-month-old daughter, Olivia.
HOW THEY MET: Eilidh and Chris met through mutual friends in 2001 at McDonald’s drive through.
THE PROPOSAL: Chris popped the question while the couple were on holiday in Venice. They were in St Mark’s Square and a very emotional Eilidh was delighted to accept. The couple found out a few weeks later that Eilidh was pregnant.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on June 9, 2013 at the Vu in Bathgate. There were 120 guests during the day and a further 50 in the evening. Eilidh said that the day was amazing and that everything went perfectly. The bride added it was great to have so many family and friends there, and to finally marry Chris.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Eilidh’s bridesmaids were best friend Frankie Robinson and Chris’s twin sister Victoria. The couple’s daughter was a flower girl, along with 20 month old Ava Grant. The best man was James Fullerton, and the ushers were Jordan McArthur, Finlay Nicolson and Eilidh’s brother Steven Grant. Steven’s son, three-month-old Struan, was a mini page boy.
THE DRESS: Eilidh wore a Sassi Holford wedding gown, decorated with lace and embellishments.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent three days alone in London and had a fantastic time. They are also going to Lake Como at the end of August.
