The wedding of Debbie Muir and Iain Burt

THE COUPLE: Debbie is 29 and an accounts assistant in Falkirk and Iain (32) is a ports manager in Edinburgh. The couple live in Laurieston.

HOW THEY MET: Debbie and Iain first met through work four-and-a-half years ago.

THE PROPOSAL: Iain popped the question while the couple were in Dublin in November 2012. They were enjoying a drink in a pub when Iain decided to give them something to celebrate. Debbie said she was really surprised.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on February 15, 2014, at the Grange Manor. Around 50 guests witnessed the service and there were 120 friends and family at the reception. Debbie said that it was a great day, and that the couple really started to enjoy it once the formalities were behind them.

THE WEDDING PARTY: The bridesmaids were Debbie’s sister Kimberly Brown, her friend Sharon Hastie and her nieces Megan and Katie Muir. The best men were Iain’s friends Brian Paterson and Barry Main. The ushers were David Brown, Debbie’s brother-in-law, and friend Michael LeVelle. The flower girls were Abigail Brown (3) and one-year-old Isla Hastie. The page boys were Blair Paterson and Ruairi Paterson.

THE DRESS: Debbie wore an off-white Ronald Joyce dress.

THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds are jetting off to Rhodes in May.
