The marriage of Christine Calder and Wesley Erpen
HOW THEY MET: The couple met while working as reps in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands for Thomas Cook in 2009. Christine was a child rep and Wes was a family entertainer.
THE PROPOSAL: We popped the question during a picnic while they were on a family day out with their daughter Kaila (3) for her first birthday at Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston. Wes was nervous but Christine said yes straight away. The happy couple are expecting their second child in November.
THE WEDDING: The big day took place on June 29. The ceremony was at Stirling Baptist Church and the reception was in the Beancross Hotel. Photographer Emma Gray took the wedding pics at the Pineapple building in Dunmore. The wedding day was perfect with 90 guests. Wes’ dad is a pastor and did the service.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Christine’s bridesmaids were her sister Claire Calder and friend from primary school Lyndsay Kidd. Daughter Kaila, Hannah Innes, Freya Clatworthy and Darcie Erpen were beautiful flower girls. Wes’ two best men were friend Andrew Gaffney and brother Cameron. He also had four ushers.
THE DRESS: Christine wore an ivory dress with nice frontal detail and a trail from KC Bridal in Falkirk.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple celebrated their wedding in Madeira.
THANKS: The couple would like to thank all friends and family who their day special, Emma Gray Photography and the Beancross staff.
