The wedding of Cheryl Allan and David Hogarth
THE COUPLE: Cheryl (27) is team manager with RBS and David (30) is a mechanical technician with Ineos and they live in Grangemouth.
HOW THEY MET: The two had known each other since they were children as their parents are friends. They met again when they both became members at the Tone Zone gym and after a night out in Rosie’s the pair got together.
THE PROPOSAL: They were on holiday in Disney World, Florida, with Cheryl’s parents when David popped the question. Cheryl thought they were stopping to get a photo taken and was shocked to find David down on one knee.
THE WEDDING: Cheryl and David were married at Airth Castle on June 6, 2014. The day was perfect and Cheryl says the service faultless.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Bridesmaids were Cheryl’s cousins Lisa O’Donnell, Leanne Martin and Kerry Jessiman. Best man was David’s best friend Michael McComiskie and ushers Graham Ross and Alistair Stewart. Nephews Cody and Casey Allan and Aidan Georgeson were pageboys and niece Rebecca Easton the flowergirl.
THE DRESS: Cheryl wore an unusual ivory dress from CKS Bridal in Falkirk. It had a sweetheart neckline and full skirt with ruching, crystal and floral accents.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple jetted off to New York City for six nights then joined a Royal Caribbean cruise ship to take in the Caribbean.
THANKS: Thanks to their parents, Rae and Charlie Allan and Les and Heather Hogarth, and the wedding party for all their help and support. Also to Cheryl’s aunt and uncle Gail and Mike O’Donnell for making the candy coach.
