The wedding of Dianne Burbery and Kyle Tooby
HOW THEY MET: The couple met in January 2012 in Storm nightclub. Dianne had originally knocked him back, but two weeks later he tried again and she said OK.
THE PROPOSAL: Kyle popped the question on July 11 last year. The couple were enjoying a night at home when Kyle decided to go up stairs to “tidy up”. An annoyed Dianne decided to investigate and found candles lit and roses petals scattered.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on July 12 at Bonnybridge Golf Club. There were 75 day guests and an additional 25 friends and family in the evening. The wedding had a half-Scottish/English theme with thistles and Yorkshire roses and themed food and cake. Dianne’s most memorable moment was Kyle lifting her and throwing her over his shoulder after the vows.
THE WEDDING PARTY: The bridesmaids were Dianne’s sister Emma McIlveney, friend Meg Cairns, and Kyle’s sister Gemma Crooks. The junior bridesmaids were Dianne’s daughters Ellie (11) and Katie (9) Wright. The couple’s son, 11-month old Dexter, was the page boy, and Dianne’s brother Garry Fyfe was the best man.
THE DRESS: Dianne loved her Venus, strapless lace mermaid-style gown with heavy beading and embroidery.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple are looking forward to a week in Bulgaria.
THANKS: The couple would like to thank Dianne’s parents, Yvonne and Graeme Fyfe, and Kyle’s family who travelled to be there.
