The wedding of Heather McIntyre and David Anderson
THE COUPLE: Heather, from Camelon, is 28 and a maths teacher at St Mungo’s High School, while David (27) is from Tillicoultry and an accountant at RSM Tenon in Grangemouth. The couple live in Alloa.
HOW THEY MET: The couple met on a blind date three years ago. They were introduced by friends from school who thought that they might get on because they had numbers in common!
THE PROPOSAL: David proposed on St Patrick’s Day last year. Heather was having a surprise birthday party but got a double surprise when David popped the question and produced an engagement ring.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on March 31 at the Solsgirth House near Dollar. There were 90 guests at the wedding and a total of 150 for the reception. The couple had a fantastic day and would love to relive it all.
THE WEDDING PARTY: The maid of honour was Heather’s sister Laura Cook while David’s sister Lyndsay Anderson was a bridesmaid. Heather’s schoolfriends Clare McGarr and Stephanie Summers were also bridesmaids. The best man was David’s best friend David Taylor, and the ushers were Jonathan Cook and Derek Ebsworth.
THE DRESS: Heather wore a lace, A-line San Patrick wedding gown with sweetheart neckline. She bought the dress at the Enchanted Rooms in Brightons.
THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds spent two weeks touring California and had a brilliant time.
