(31) is from Reading in England, and an account manager also with the Pru. The newlyweds live in Carron.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met at a work conference in Chelsea about three years ago. When John moved to Scotland they got in touch again.

THE PROPOSAL: Catherine had surprised John with a trip to Vegas for his 30th birthday last June, but Catherine ended up getting the surprise when he popped the question.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on July 21 at Dunblane Hydro. Over 120 guests watched the couple marry and a few more friends and family joined the celebrations at night. The day went perfectly, and Catherine said it was a treat to see John wearing a kilt instead of a morning suit as he knew how much it meant to her.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Catherine’s bridesmaids were her sister Gillian Wright and friends Kelly Irvine and Gemma Combie. The best man was John’s best friend David Britton and the ushers were Paul Huntley and Laurence Ramos. The flower girls were Mollie, Phoebe and Freya Winn and the page boy was Josh Winn.

THE DRESS: Catherine wore an A-line Alfred Angelo dress which had crystal and pearl detail.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent two weeks in beautiful Bali.

THANKS: Special thanks go to Catherine’s parents, Helen and Ronald Wright for all their help and support.
