The wedding of Jayde Stirling and Michael McNie
HOW THEY MET: The couple met through friends about five-and-a-half years ago.
THE PROPOSAL: Michael took Jayde totally by surprise by popping the question during a holiday in Mexico in 2010. Michael proposed on bended knee with a beautiful engagement ring.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on June 9 at Glenskirlie Castle. Just over 80 guests watched the couple marry and over 150 guests celebrated with the couple in the evening. The day went perfectly.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Jayde’s friends, Nicole Tait, Hanna Campbell and Lynsey Gillies, were the bridesmaids and Michael’s brother Symon was the best man. The ushers were Michael’s friends Scott MacDonald and Stephen Graham. The couple’s nephew Taylor Rigby (7) was a page boy and six-year-old Sophie Lawrence was a flower girl.
THE DRESS: Jayde loved her ivory strapless wedding gown which was fitted to the knee.
HONEYMOON: The couple spent two-and-a-half weeks touring Bangkok, Phuket and Dubai.
THANKS: Thanks to both sets of parents Margie and Steven Stirling and Janice and David McNie for all their help and support and to everyone for their generosity and for joining the couple on their special day.
