The wedding of Susan Paterson and David Paterson
THE COUPLE: Susan is from Grangemouth and works at Ineos and David is from Aberdeen and is a chemical engineer at Ineos.
HOW THEY MET: The couple first met through work 16 years ago.
THE PROPOSAL: David popped the question during a trip to London five years ago. He went down on one knee and presented her with a beautiful engagement ring.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held at Zetland Parish Church on Saturday, May 5. Just under 40 guests watched the couple get married and a further 40 joined the celebrations at the Leepark Hotel later. Susan said the day was absolutely perfect, and she was thrilled her brother was there from Canada.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Susan’s aunt Diana Barker was the matron of honour and the best man was David’s friend David McLaren. The ushers were the couple’s friends, Helen Binnie and Robert Craig.
THE DRESS: The bride wore a Condici silk three-piece suit and a hat.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent a few days in Scotland after the wedding, but are planning a trip abroad later this year.
THANKS: Special thanks go to Susan’s goddaughter Amanda Slater who presented the bride with a horse shoe, and to Johnnie and Josie at the Leapark Hotel for the stunning decorations.
