The wedding of Karen Maley and Adrian Lee
THE COUPLE: Karen (37) is from Carronshore and works in pensions for Capita in Stirling, and Adrian (38) is from Nottingham and is an HGV driver. The couple live in Carronshore with their daughter, Taliah.
HOW THEY MET: Karen was on a night out with her friends in Newcastle, and Adrian was with his friends. They met in a queue for a nightclub and kept in touch.
THE PROPOSAL: Adrian went down on one knee during a family dinner at The Shore. He had already picked the “perfect” ring and presented it to a very surprised Karen.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held in Glenbervie House Hotel on February 17. There were 50 day guests and around 110 in the evening. Karen said the day was perfect. Her highlight was seeing her daughter walk first down the aisle and then seeing a delighted Adrian. She also said the ceremony was beautiful.
THE WEDDING GUESTS: Karen’s best friend, Wendy Alexander, was chief bridesmaid, and Karen’s nieces Bethany Lowe (12), Jeena Cranston (16), and Alyssa Cranston (13) were bridesmaids. The couple’s daughter Taliah (7) was a flower girl. The best man was Brian Alexander, Adrian’s best friend, and the couple’s nephew McKenzie Cranston (10) was the page boy.
THE DRESS: Karen’s gown was ivory satin with rose and diamante detail.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple are off to Tenerife in April.
