Baby of the week: Noah Sanchez

The birth of Noah Lucas Sanchez

THE PARENTS: Alana McNee (28) is a staff nurse at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and from Falkirk. Jose Sanchez (28) works for a funeral directors and is from Maddiston. The family live in Maddiston and Noah is their second baby after Lucas was born too soon.

THE PREGNANCY: Alana had a stressful pregnancy after losing Noah’s big brother but the extra care from the midwifery team and Forth Valley Stillborn and Neonatal Death Scotland (SANDS) was excellent.

THE LABOUR: Alana was induced and had Noah the following morning. The labour was straight forward.

THE NAME: Lucas is after his big brother and the couple chose Noah as it was the only name they both really liked.

THE BABY: Noah is a happy and content baby and very precious to his parents and wider family. He is sleeping and eating well and looks just like his dad.

THANKS: The couple want to thank the Poppy team at Forth Valley Royal and charity Forth Valley SANDS. Alana wishes to thank her mum Isobel McNee and Jose for their support during the labour and all family and friends for their kind gifts and cards.
