THE DETAILS: Millie Logan Orr was born at 2.48 a.m. on June 24, 2014, in Forth Valley Royal Hospital weighing in at 8lb 4oz. June 24 is also her mum’s birthday.
THE PARENTS: Mum Louise Logan (26) is a dental nurse from Falkirk. Dad Martin Orr (29) is from East Kilbride and is a double glazing engineer. The family live in Falkirk and Millie is their first baby.
THE PREGNANCY: Louise said her pregnancy was “awful” and she was sick for the whole duration, however, “it was all worth it in the end”.
THE BIRTH: Just to steal her mother’s thunder, Little Millie was a week past her due date and was born on the same date as her mum meaning Louise only got a few cards for her birthday. “I couldn’t have asked for a better present”, Louise said. On the day of the birth she had a craving for apples and ate five of them before going into hospital at around 10.45 p.m. when she was 5cm dilated.
THE BABY: Millie is an “excellent” baby, a really good sleeper and doesn’t cry unless something bothers her. She is now smiling and laughing away and people say she is quite advanced for her age.
THE NAME: Millie was a name Louise and Martin liked and they picked it two days after she was born.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Millie is the first grandchild for Doreen, Archie Logan and their partners Fred Watson and Sheila Logan. She is the second for Robert and Elaine Orr.
THANKS: Martin and Louise thank all their friends and family and the maternity team at FVRH.
