The birth of Jaxson Michael Pawlyk-Lorimer

THE DETAILS: Jaxson Pawlyk-Lorimer was born on November 12, 2013, at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 5.50 p.m. weighing 7lb 9oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Vikki Pawlyk is 30 and works at Scottish Power in Camelon, and dad Brian Lorimer (35) is a driver with Lothian Buses. Baby Jaxson lives with his mum in
Grangemouth and he is her first baby.

THE PREGNANCY: Vikki didn’t have
a very good pregnancy. She had morning sickness, migraines, and sciatica.

THE BIRTH: Baby was a week early. Vikki’s waters broke at home but it was another 17 hours before Jaxson arrived. The baby was delivered by Caesarean section because he couldn’t be delivered naturally because of the position he was lying in.

THE BABY: Jaxson is doing really well and now weighs 10lbs. He’s a good eater but hasn’t quite mastered sleeping at night yet. Giving him tickles on his belly always makes him smile.

THE NAME: Baby Pawlyk-Lorimer was originally going to be called Cole but there was a last-minute change of mind when Vikki saw him after the birth. The name Michael was added in memory of a close friend of Vikki and Brian, who sadly died this year.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Jaxson is a third grandchild for Janice Hepburn of Grangemouth and a first for Molly Hunter of Cairnryan.

THANKS: Vikki would like to say a special thank you to her mum and Brian for all their support during the birth.
