The birth of Jacob McIntosh
THE PARENTS: Deborah Rintoul (26) works for Thomas Cook in Larbert and Ross McIntosh (27) is a softwear test analyst with a bank in Edinburgh. The family live in Falkirk.
THE PREGNANCY: Deborah had a straightforward pregnancy with just morning sickness during the first three months.
THE LABOUR: Deborah was feeling reduced movement and went to hospital for scans. They showed the fluid levels around the baby were low and she was induced. After a week, she had a c section as the induction failed. Jacob arrived two days before his due date, sharing a birthday with Princess Charlotte.
THE NAME: Jacob was the first name Deborah and Ross could agree on. Eric is after Deborah’s dad and Anthony is after Ross’ papa.
THE BABY: Jacob is a content and smiley baby. He is sleeping through the night and feeding well.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Jacob is the first grandchild for Marion McIntosh of Bo’ness and the second grandchild for Eric and Carole Rintoul of Bo’ness.
THANKS: Thanks to the Bluebell team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital and to the grandparents for all their help with the new arrival.
