The birth of Charlotte Melissa Rose Flynn
THE PARENTS: Mum Holly Faichney (27) works at New Carron Nursing Home while dad Gordon Flynn (26) works for International Timber in Grangemouth. The couple have a six-year-old son Caiden and the family live in Carron.
THE PREGNANCY: Holly said that the pregnancy was okay. She had very bad morning sickness at the beginning and end but apart from that it flew in.
THE BIRTH: Baby Flynn was 10 days early. Holly went into labour naturally and gave birth just a few hours later by Caesarean section. Mum and baby were both well afterwards and got home after a few days.
THE BABY: Charlotte is a brilliant wee baby. She has slept all night pretty much from the start and eats well. She is a smiley, content baby who enjoys watching her big brother and loves hearing songs.
THE NAME: Charlotte was dad Gordon’s choice of name. Holly had got to pick their son’s name so left the decision to Gordon, but she is very happy with the name. Melissa is after Charlotte’s aunt, and Rose is in honour of Holly’s gran who loved roses.
THE GRANGPARENTS: Charlotte is a fourth grandchild for Margo and Danny Flynn of Airth.
THANKS: Thanks go to all the midwives at the hospital, and to family and friends for their support and best wishes.
