The birth of Charli Elizabeth Driver
THE DETAILS: Charli Elizabeth Driver was born in Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 3.53 a.m. on September 16, 2014, weighing 6lb 15oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Adele Wallace (24) is the director of the Broadway School of Performing Arts in Falkirk. Dad David Driver (26) is employed as a sales executive with Evans Halshaw in Livingston. The family lives in Reddingmuirhead.
THE PREGNANCY: It’s fair to say this wasn’t smooth with Adele experiencing sickness for the first seven months. She said: “It wasn’t just in the morning but all the time and I had to go into hospital a couple of times when I became dehydrated. But it was all worth it in the end.”
THE BIRTH: This was a lot more straightforward despite Charli deciding to arrive nine days early. “My waters broke at 3 a.m. on September 15 and at 9 p.m. I was induced. She was born seven hours later,” said Adele.
THE NAME: Charli is a name the couple both liked and, after considering different spellings, decided on this. Elizabeth is David’s sister’s name.
THE BABY: Described as very alert and content by her mum, Charli was sleeping through the night from seven weeks. “She loves noise,” said Adele, “and already loves to come to the dance studio.”
THE GRANDPARENTS: Charli is the first grandchild for Julie and Brian Wallace of Camelon, and Julie and John Driver of Sheffield.
THANKS: Adele would like to thank David and her family for all their support, and the couple would like to thank the Poppy team at FVRH.
