The birth of Calhea Iris Maria Gray
THE DETAILS: Calhea Iris Maria Gray was born at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 2.45 p.m. on February 13, weighing 9lb 6oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Rhea Hynan-Meade (25) is a stay-at-home mum, and dad Callum Gray (33) is a support worker in Denny. Calhea is the couple’s second baby and the family lives in Denny.
THE PREGNANCY: Rhea had quite a few problems during the pregnancy but received excellent care and attention and was closely monitored.
THE BIRTH: Calhea was delivered by planned c-section when Rhea was 38 weeks pregnant. It all went very well and Rhea was allowed home after just 24 hours.
THE BABY: Calhea is a brilliant, chilled out baby. She sleeps all night, is a very good eater and is a very contented, happy baby. Her favourite thing to do is watch her big brother, 16-month-old Calyx. Her eyes follow him everywhere and he is very protective of his baby sister.
THE NAME: The couple couldn’t think of a name they were happy with. Finally, they decided to invent their own name which is half Callum’s name and half Rhea’s name.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Calhea is a second grandchild for Shaun and Linda Hynan-Meade of Stenhousemuir and a fifth for John and Mary Gray of Brightons. She is also a second great grandchild for Iris Liddell
THANKS: Thanks go to the doctor who took care of Rhea throughout the pregnancy, and also to the Tulip team at the hospital.
