Baby of the week

Luke Peter Alexander Hannah
Luke Peter Alexander Hannah

The birth of Luke Peter Alxander Hannah

THE PARENTS: Mum Victoria Hannah (30) is a hairdresser and dad Steven Hannah (35) works in transport management. The couple live in Grangemouth and Luke is their first baby.

THE PREGNANCY: Victoria said the pregnancy was a bit of a breeze throughout until the last couple of weeks when Luke became a little bit lazy and wasn’t moving around so he was monitored extra-carefully to make sure he was healthy.

THE LABOUR: Luke arrived after 36 hours of labour and an emergency c-section. He was absolutely fine when he was born but Victoria was in hospital for three days initially and then had to go back in for a week after she had been allowed home due to infection.

THE BABY: Victoria said Luke is doing really well and is feeding around every four hours.

THE NAME: The couple chose the name Luke because it had a special meaning to them personally. Peter is Victoria’s dad’s name and she said Alexander seemed like a good idea when she was on strong antibiotics in hospital!

THANKS: Victoria said the whole family have been really helpful but special thanks must go to her mum. She was a birthing partner along with Steven and was a great support to Victoria, who said you don’t fully appreciate your mum until you become a mum yourself.
