Kaiden Alan Alexander Donnelly
THE PARENTS: Mum Karen (28) is a receptionist at the Cladhan Hotel in Falkirk, and dad Scott (36) is a fishmonger in Reddingmuirhead. Kaiden is the couple’s first baby and the family live in Larbert.
THE PREGNANCY: Karen and Scott had been trying for a baby for 10 years, and Karen fell pregnant after IVF. The pregnancy was very straight forward with no problems.
THE BIRTH: Mum and son now share a birthday after Kaiden arrived one day over his due date. Karen went into labour naturally, and Baby Donnelly arrived safely in hospital some time later. Scott and Karen took their son home the next day.
THE BABY: Kaiden is a “brilliant baby”, according to his proud mummy. He sleeps and eats well and already enjoys a bit of baby TV.
THE NAME: The couple found out they were having a boy, and had liked the name ‘Kaiden’ for some time. The middle names are after Karen’s late dad and Scott’s dad.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Kaiden is a third grandchild for Lorraine Anderson of Carronshore and the late Alan Anderson. He’s also a fifth grandchild for Alexander Donnelly of Carronshore and Joan Douglas of Grangemouth. Kaiden is also in good company as all the other grandchildren are also boys.
THANKS: Special thanks go to all the family, and to the Poppy team at the hospital.
