The wedding of David Watson and Aimee Wilson
THE COUPLE: Aimee Wilson (26) is from Larbert and works as a solicitor, while Stenhousemuir’s David Watson is also 26 and is a civil servant. The couple live in Larbert.
HOW THEY MET: Aimee and David met at school and were in the same registration class at Larbert High.
THE PROPOSAL: David proposed on Christmas Eve 2009. When he brought out the box as a “part of her Christmas present”, she thought it was earrings but instead it was a gorgeous engagement ring which fitted perfectly.
THE WEDDING: The couple were married on June 18 at Larbert East Church, and the reception was at the Hotel Cladhan. There were 64 guests and a further 70 at night. It was raining on the day but the couple still managed to get great pictures inside the church and they didn’t let the wet weather ruin their day.
THE WEDDING PARTY: The chief bridesmaid was Aimee’s sister Lisa Wilson, and the bridesmaids were Stephanie Paterson and Kirsten Fowler. Best man was Iain Thomson, and the ushers were Robbie Wilson, Aimee’s brother, and Andrew Watson, David’s brother.
THE DRESS: Aimee’s dress was a V-neck ivory silky taffeta gown by Benjamin Roberts bought from Altar Images in Bridge of Allan.
THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds travelled to Riviera Maya in Mexico for two weeks.
THANKS: Special thanks to the parents, Susan and Maurice Wilson, and Marjorie and Gordon Watson, and the bridal party for all their help and support. Thanks to all friends and family who made the day very special and Rev. Melville Crosthwaite for a lovely service.
