Looking for a way to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays? Falkirk Delivers has some dates for your diary with some free ways to keep the kids entertained this summer.
Falkirk Producers Market
One thing’s for sure, you better not miss Falkirk Producers Market on the first Saturday of each month, as the team at Falkirk Delivers are looking forward to putting on entertainment and activities for the wee ones during the markets.
Falkirk Producers Market is located in on the High Street. Each market hosts a vibrant array of vendors including delicious locally sourced and vegan treats, ethical shopping options, fantastic handmade crafts. The market takes place between 10am and 4pm, and a different activity or entertainment on for the kids at each market.
Falkirk Delivers are delighted that their application to the #FalkirkBairnsWellbeingFund was successful! This means they can provide free children’s activities in Falkirk Town Centre.
Watch this space for more info as work starts on the Fun in Falkirk programme. Free children’s activities will take place on the first Saturday of each month.
Battle of Falkirk Festival
The John De Graeme Society, in collaboration with Falkirk Delivers, is commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Falkirk with a historical festival taking place on July 23.
Sir John De Graeme, right hand man of Sir William Wallace and Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll, along with the men of Bute and countless other Scots fought and died on the field of Battle at Falkirk on July 22, 1298.
On the day there will be historical tours, battle re-enactments and a medieval market.
Emergency Services Day
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland are inviting you to join them at this year’s emergency services day in Falkirk.
The event will take place on Falkirk High Street on Wednesday, August 10, from 10am to 4pm.
The free family fun day will include a range of events such as demonstrations, displays and children’s activities.
Falkirk Delivers, in association with Rotary Club of Falkirk, is again organising a Charities Day to help local charities with their fundraising efforts.
The day is always a huge success and gives local charities the opportunity to promote themselves in one of the busiest streets in town.
More to come
With all that, and more exciting things yet to be announced, make a day out in Falkirk the perfect destination this summer. So why not get the family together and spend a day shopping, eating, and being entertained in our town centre?
