The Falkirk District Association of Mental Health have been granted lottery funding.
The local charity, who support people suffering from mental health issues by offering counselling and befriending, will benefit from over a quarter of a million pounds in lottery funding.
The Falkirk District Association of Mental Health hope to use the money to help lonely people re-engage with their local community.
Befriending manager for the group, Julie Law, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled and delighted at the news.
“We’ve been funded before by the Big Lottery, and that was working predominantly with older people, helping with their isolation and anxiety.”
