Owner Ian Bell is in no doubt about what makes this house special – it’s a great place for a party.
Just 10 years old, the modern, five-bedroomed house is a fantastic place for any kind of entertaining, in fact.
Not only is it fitted out with its own bar, it also has a snooker table and home cinema system on the ground floor.
Meanwhile, on the middle level, the stylish lounge looks large enough to host an edition of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
It’s a stunning room with several windows that allow natural light to fill the space.
The striking spiral staircase provides a focal point, beautifully crafted from stainless steel and solid oak.
Another talking point is found in the hallway, where a solid fuel stove with limestone surround looks as dramatic as it is effective.
Both staircase and stove are indicators of the extremely high standards of finish found throughout the property, from ceramic tiles to wooden flooring - it’s all top quality.
With a private, electronic gateway, shared with one neighbour, it guarantees absolute privacy.
Surrounded by fields, not to mention its own extensive, landscaped gardens, it has a pleasant outlook and the sun room with another bank of windows makes the most of the quiet location.
Ian, who has lived here with his family for six years now, says that as well as being ‘a party house’, it also works well as a family home.
There are four double bedrooms, including the master bedroom which has access to a Paris balcony.
One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, making it ideal for a ‘granny flat’.
There’s also a gym, although Ian admits it’s not something he ever uses. “I can’t be bothered!” he laughs.
And the gardens also contain a patio and play area, perfect for a growing family – or for entertaining, of course.
With his own family now growing up, he is looking to downsize and they are hoping to build their own house, taking with them many of the ideas that have made living here so comfortable.
Something else he is giving up reluctantly and hopes to replicate in any new home is the house’s huge double garage, somewhere he spends a lot of time.
“I haven’t changed a thing since I’ve been here,” said Ian. “I think it’s a great house. I think we’d like to stay in the area too. It’s a great place to live.”
