“Our customers always say we are one of the best takeaways so a big thank you to everyone who voted for us.”

Facing tough competition from a shortlist of curry houses, which included 2016 winners of the Scottish Curry Awards Sanam Tandoori, Gopi and his team of four staff were surprised with the result.

He said: “When you see the names on the shortlist you can see how good the competition is so it was a shock for us to win. However, everyone here works incredibly hard and it is a great place to work.”
