Commuters face disruption as bus services are affected

Services on First Scotland East are being disrupted due to the '˜Beast from the East' weather system.

Falkirk services which have been affected are:

Service 1, 17 and 29 - not be running until further notice.

Service 2 - not serving Barnego Road.

Service 2B - not serving Fankerton.

Service 2A - running as normal, Stirling to University served again.

Service 3 - running only up to Windsor Road. At Grangemout only main roads are served.

Service 4 and 4A - only serving Camelon Main Street. Central Avenue, Burnbank Road and Stevenson Street not being served.

At Grangemouth only main roads are served.

Service 4B - not running past Camelon Main Street .

Service 5A/5C - only serving to Bo’ness Bus Station along the bottom road and Bainsford Main Street up to Lidl’s. Langlees is not served.

Service 6 - not serving Carronshore.

Service 7 - not serving Antonshill.

Service F8 - not running.

Service X37 - only operating Between Falkirk and Bonnybridge Toll.

Service 38/38A - services running Stirling-Lathallan Roundabout only.

Services F11 and F14 - serving main roads only.

Service F25 - not operating.

All school services are not operating.

First Scotland East pperations director, David Phillips said: “First Scotland East services face major disruptions s due to the extreme weather effects of the ‘Beast from the East’ snowstorm.

“A number of routes have been badly effected and our drivers are doing their very best to operate despite some buses getting stuck in the snow or moving slowly in very testing road conditions.

“The safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority and any alterations to services will only be made where their safety is potentially compromised.”
