Falkirk Delivers has worked hard behind the scenes to create a super weekend Christmas programme to create magical memories for families in the area. There is something for all ages – from street entertainment, Santa’s Grotto and the fabulous giant snow globe located inside the Howgate – step inside and grab a winter wonderland selfie!

There is no need to head out of the town on the train to create family memories this Christmas as there is still time to treat the little ones to a trip to Santa’s Post Office next to The Steeple for some Christmas craft time. Or head along to visit Mrs Claus at the Seagull Trust Bookshop and Art Gallery on the High Street and listen to some magical story telling in her own living room hidden away upstairs from the hustle and bustle below from those getting some last minute Christmas gifts.

All the activities in the town during the lead up to Christmas are free, except for Santa’s Grotto, which has a small cost of £4 per child.

While in town, take time to admire the shop windows – the town centre’s many independent and hardworking shopkeepers have done an amazing job this year, creating magical and imaginative displays that really capture the season.

Pop inside for a browse and pick up some lovely gifts – or treat yourself – you might be surprised by the wide variety on offer with prices to suit all pockets. Check out the Falkirk Delivers website for some gift guide inspiration.

With all that shopping and festive food prep going on, remember to take time to really enjoy the season. Meet up with friends for a browse around the shops together, stop for a hot chocolate and nibble a mince pie or two.

It only comes once a year – so make the most of this Christmas in Falkirk.
