There are many memories in this California bungalow for the Pryde family.
Sandra and David built the house more than 16 years ago when their two children were no more than toddlers.
It was important to the couple to give them a great life and space to grow, so the property was designed with that in mind.
With five bedrooms, one acre of wraparound gardens and extensive living space inside, it certainly has lots to offer.
Over the intervening years, the house has been tested to the limit by the children, but Sandra thinks it has succeeded in being a great family home.
She said: “We wanted plenty of space, an open-plan kitchen and en suite facilities so the children could have their own bathrooms when they grew up.
“The outside space is great and for us that was a big thing.
“The kids have had quad bikes out there and I also have three dogs, so it’s been great to have so much room outdoors.”
But the children have traded in their bikes for cars and are off doing their own thing, so the couple have decided to put the house on the market.
Sandra said: “The views are fantastic. From one side you can see the Ochil Hills and, from the other, the Bathgate hills.
“I also think the location is excellent. Here in Falkirk we are right in the middle of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Livingston.
“It also meant that we could send the children to a smaller local school which was really nice.”
The house also boasts stunning large bathrooms, solid wood floors and a marble fireplace.
