Baby of the week: Amber Beattie

THE PARENTS: Mum Lucy McLuckie (25) is a social care worker, while dad Steven Beattie (28) is a recovery driver. The family live in Larbert.

THE PREGNANCY: Lucy said that her pregnancy was difficult as she had lost her second baby and she was very anxious during this one. She said that Amber was their miracle baby.

THE BIRTH: Lucy said that her birth was great compared to her pregnancy. Due to complications, she had a c-section and Amber was born at 37 weeks.

THE BABY: Amber is great and Lucy said that she could not have asked for a better baby. Amber is happy and content compared to when her big sister Jessica was little.

THE NAME: Amber was previously going to be called Gracie but mum and dad thought it didn’t suit her. They got the name Amber from one of Lucy’s mum’s dogs. Amber’s older sister Jessica also got her name from Lucy’s mum’s other dog.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Amber’s grandparents are Denise and Greg McLuckie from Falkirk.
