Baby of the week: Adam James Stuart

THE PARENTS: Mum Lesley Stuart, works as an audit manager, while dad Barry Stuart is a operations team leader. The couple live in Falkirk and Adam is their first child.

THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy was fairly straightforward for Lesley.

THE BIRTH: However, the birth brought some complications as Adam arrived three weeks and one day early. Lesley was went into labour quickly as she was diagnosed with preclampsia and had a risk of high blood pressure. When Adam arrived he was taken to the neo-natal unit for three days and Lesley had to get three blood transfusions after the birth.

THE BABY: Both mum and baby are doing great now. Adam is a very healthy and happy baby.

THE NAME: Adam is named after Barry’s papa, and his middle name, James, is after Lesley’s papa.

THE GRANDPARENTS: The delighted grandparents are John and Sandra Steel, and Janet and Martin Stuart.
