Baby of the Week: Amelie Moore

THE PARENTS: Mum Laura Moore (34), is a corporate affairs manager, while dad Stephen (37) works as an electronics engineer. The couple live in Larbert and Amelie is their first child.

THE PREGNANCY: Laura said the pregnancy was “not too bad” but towards the end she started to show signs of pre-eclampsia so was taken in a few days early.

THE BIRTH: Mum Laura said it was quite a traumatic birth and a difficult labour. She was induced on the Friday and Amelie waited until the Monday to make her appearance.

THE BABY: Amelie is always very happy and smiley.

THE NAME: Amelie was the only name mum and dad could agree on. Her middle name Violet is after her great grandmother.

THE GRANDPARENTS: The delighted grandparents are Caroline and Stuart Coulter who live in Stenhousemuir and Mary and Kevin Moore who live in Windsor, Canada.
