The birth of Florence Johnston

THE DETAILS: Florence Jean Anne Johnston was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary on January 26 at 9.33 a.m. weighing 6lb 3oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Zoe Hull is 32 and works for Strathclyde Police while dad James Johnston is 33 and works as a mechanic. Florence is the couple’s first baby and the family live in Tamfourhill.

THE PREGNANCY: Zoe said that the pregnancy was fine apart from chonic heartburn in the last few months.

THE BIRTH: Florence was born three weeks early. Zoe’s waters broke on the Monday morning but she was then induced on the Tuesday and kept in until Florence was born on the Wednesday morning.

THE BABY: Florence is doing really well and is eating and sleeping well. The family are now working towards getting her to sleep through the night.

THE NAME: Both Zoe and James liked the name Florence. Jean and Anne are after both Florence’s grandmothers.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Little Florence is a third grandchild for Anne and Denis Hull of Falkirk and a fourth grandchild for Jean and Jamie Johnston from Falkirk.
