Temporary mobile coronavirus testing centre to open in Bo'ness

A temporary mobile coronavirus testing centre will open in Bo’ness following a rise in positive cases in the area.

The facility will be based at Bo’ness Recreation Centre in Gauze Road until Friday, February 19.

Anyone who lives or works in Bo’ness can make an appointment via the GOV.UK website or by calling 0300 303 2713.

A Falkirk Community Trust spoksperson said: “Residents do not have to be displaying Covid-19 symptoms to make an appointment.

“They should select the option ‘My local council or health protection team has asked me to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms’ when booking a test.

“Appointments will only be released each evening for the following morning and in the morning for appointments that afternoon.

“Appointments will released each morning and evening for appointments later that day or on the following morning.

“Once appointments are fully booked the testing centre will not appear online as a venue option or be available for call handlers to book.”
