Television for charity boosted by appeal

A Braes-based charity will feature on an STV programme about the station's annual charity appeal.

Last year, the STV Children’s Appeal raised £2,568,369 and the half hour programme will shine a light on the fantastic work taking place.

STV’s weatherman Sean Batty visited One Parent Families Scotland to learn more about the work of the Braes Family Centre, which has received £46,471 from the appeal.

The centre offers child care and outreach work in schools, including anger management training for teenagers who have been or are at risk of being excluded from school and has plans to extend its work.

STV Children’s Appeal – Changing Lives will air on Friday, March 17 at 8pm.
