Services abuse support group provides are growing

Falkirk-based Open Secret re-branded its name to Wellbeing Scotland this week as the range of therapies for people who have suffered abuse has widened to include children and families services, wellbeing matters, EMDR therapy, in-care survivor service and early years.

Chief executive Janine Rennie said: “This year we took the decision to recognise the widening scope of our work to incorporate all areas of wellbeing impacted by life experiences.

“Maintaining our specialism in abuse and trauma is very important to the survivors who have been with Open Secret in many capacities throughout the years and therefore we will maintain sub-brands including Open Secret.

“Our prison service has grown year on year and it consistently achieves strongly positive outcomes, but we could not provide our services without the support of our volunteers.”
