NHS Forth Valley experiencing 'technical difficulties' with flu jabs

The telephone number for rescheduling flu vaccination appointments for NHS Forth Valley patients is not working at the moment due to an issue with BT.

An NHS Forth Valley spokeperson said: “We are experiencing technical difficulties with the telephone number for rescheduling appointments which is printed on letters sent to patients recently.

“We have been advised this is down to an issue with BT and they are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

“Any patient who has been contacted regarding an appointment for their flu jab and is looking to contact NHS Forth Valley to reschedule can do so by e-mailing [email protected] and someone will be in contact with you as soon as they can.”

Thousands of people are being urged to get the flu vaccination this winter due to fears of a co-infection with coronavirus.

Health officials warn the viruses could be circulating at the same time, which could see people become very ill should they be infected by both together.
