Member of staff at Polmont YOI dies from coronavirus
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) confirmed yesterday a senior officer who served at Polmont Young Offenders Institution has sadly died after contracting COVID-19.

The 59-year-old man is not thought to have contracted the virus at the YOI.
The Prison Officers’ Association stated it was “saddened to hear the dreadful news” and the officer, who had reportedly been ill for some weeks, was “widely known and respected across the service”.
