Maggie's Forth Valley urges people to support 300,000 Steps Challenge

Falkirk district residents are being asked to lace up their walking and running shoes to fundraise for a cancer support service.

There is just one week to go until the 300,000 Steps Challenge kicks off in aid of Maggie’s centres across the country.

The fundraiser tasks participants with aiming for that grand total throughout March by going on strolls or jogs of their choice.

Maggie’s Forth Valley, based in Larbert, is calling on volunteers to lend their support to ensure everyone with cancer gets the help they need.

Members of the public can follow some simple steps to sign up.

Firstly, join the dedicated Facebook group then register via Messenger to get a free 300,000 Steps t-shirt and log your total.

Secondly, start a Facebook fundraiser and change the end date to April 7, 2021.

Finally, comment ‘DONE’ so Maggie’s knows you’re ready to take part.

Those who raise £150 or more will receive a finisher’s medal.
