Latest on Forth Valley College’s coronavirus scare

Bosses at Forth Valley College (FVC) have had an update on the condition of the member of staff who was sent home amid a coronavirus scare.

Yesterday, just a matter of hours after the Scottish Government confirmed the Forth Valley area had its first confirmed case of coronavirus, people took to Facebook and began posting that a member of staff at FVC had contracted the virus.

This morning, a spokesperson for FVC said: “We can confirm that a member of staff based at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus who was in self-isolation, has tested negative for coronavirus.

“However, we will continue to take our responsibilities seriously in relation to the ongoing coronavirus situation. We are taking guidance and advice from the Scottish Government and the local health protection team in regards to safeguarding our staff, students and visitors.”
