A Falkirk resident, queueing outside FTH for his flu jab, said: “There were over 100 people out there. I was there from 9.15am when it usually takes five minutes. I heard from a guy taking a smoke break the vaccine hadn’t arrived.

“There’s more chance of catching flu – or worse - in the queue.”

A spokesperson said: “Supplies of vaccine were available at Falkirk Town Hall for today’s session, however, some further checks had to be carried out this morning to address some potential storage issues.

“Following these checks the manufacturer advised the vaccine was safe to use and did not anticipate any issues with its effectiveness however additional supplies are being delivered to the hall in case these are required.”
