Larbert hospital staff remember key workers who have died

Staff at Forth Valley Royal Hospital held a minute’s silence to remember key workers who have died from coronavirus.

They joined colleagues, politicians, trade unionists and members of the public across the UK in holding a ceremony at 11am today.

The Royal College of Nursing , the Royal College of Midwives and Unison had called for everyone to stop and remember all the key workers who had lost their lives in the Covid-19 pandemic on April 28 which is already marked around the world as International Workers’ Memorial Day.

Tim Bennison, head of spiritual care at FVRH, led a short service before members of all departments within the hospital bowed their head in remembrance.

There is also a wall with over 100 hearts to represent all the UK’s NHS and care staff who have lost their lives in the pandemic, at least five of them in Scotland.
