The event at Larbert’s Forth Valley Royal Hospital included a prizegiving and award ceremony to recognise the outstanding contribution made by a number of trainees during their placements, as well as efforts of staff involved in their training. Mortar boards and gifts were supplied by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow to enable a number of the trainees who had left university early to mark their graduation. No formal graduation ceremonies were able to take place this year due to the pandemic. Others who were already training in the hospital were redeployed to critical areas to help respond to Covid-19.
Falkirk Herald photographer Michael Gillen was at the celebrations.
