For the last few months the large white tent and red and white plastic barriers were a familiar sight for residents of Grangemouth’s Bowhouse Road as NHS frontline workers would – sporadically – drive into the car park of Bowhouse Community Centre to be tested for coronavirus.

Now it appears as if the centre has served its purpose and has now ceased operations.

An NHS spokesperson said: “We are no longer using Bowhouse Community Centre as a testing site for frontline health and social care staff. We continue to test frontline health and social care staff at our other two testing sites and via our mobile testing teams.”

The remaining test centres are located at Falkirk Community Hospital and Stirling Health and Care Village, with three mobile teams on hand to carry out enhanced testing for local care homes.
