Grangemouth-based Tapestry link up with Strathcarron Hospice

Kind-hearted bosses and staff at a Grangemouth-based business are vowing to support the work of Strathcarron Hospice.

Tapestry AV are determined to do their bit to help local people living with a terminal illness and have pledged to make the Denny facility their new charity partner.To kick-start the partnership, Tapestry is donating £1 to the Hospice for every new ‘like’ on its Facebook page, up to 500 likes. This will help pay for 24 hours of specialist end of life care for one person at the hospice.The company, which provides audio visual expertise and equipment for events, has also committed to supporting Strathcarron’s 2020 events, including the sold-out Ladies Lunch with Kaye Adams in May, and annual Fashion Show in November.Lynsey McLaren, managing director, said: “We are very passionate about supporting causes that are close to our hearts, that’s why we are extremely proud to be partnering Strathcarron Hospice and supporting their 2020 events calendar.“As a company, we regularly support charitable causes within our local area, and as this cause is so close to everyone’s hearts and we all in some way have a direct link with the charity, we have chosen the hospice as our charity partner for this year. As well as supporting their event activity, we are launching a social media campaign, where we will donate £1 for every like on our Facebook page up to 500 likes.“We will look forward to working with Strathcarron in the coming year and hope that our support will contribute to the continuation of the fantastic work carried out by the staff and volunteers.”Thanking everyone from Tapestry, which is based at Baltic Quay, Claire Macdonald, business development fundraiser, said: “The hospice celebrates its 39th anniversary in April and is only in a position to celebrate such a momentous occasion thanks to the continued support of the local community.“We need to raise £12,900 a day to continue to provide the specialist end of life care, love and support that people deserve, and we are incredibly grateful that the team at Tapestry will be supporting us to achieve this throughout 2020.”
