Forth Valley Royal Hospital staff helping patients connect to upgraded Wi-Fi network

Patients at Forth Valley Royal Hospital are being offered help to stay in touch with loved ones amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Larbert hospital’s employees want members of the public to know they can offer assistance so families can remain connected.

One patient who experienced difficulties connecting to the hospital’s Wi-Fi said: “I am attending my three times weekly dialysis at Forth Valley Royal Hospital and there is still no improvement in the phone connectivity.

“Perhaps it is this particular section of the hospital which is not covered.”

However, an NHS Forth Valley spokesperson confirmed that was not the case and said: “Patients attending the Renal Unit can access mobile phone coverage by logging on to the hospital Wi-Fi system.

“Staff can help register them for this service if they wish to use it.”

Last week we told how mobile phone and Wi-Fi access had been upgraded across the hospital.
