Falkirk district care home wins national award

The commitment of staff at a Falkirk district care home throughout the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the facility receiving a national award.

Carrondale Care Home was named as the winner of an excellence title during a Generations Working Together ceremony held today.

Staff at the Carron facility were recognised for the lengths they went to in order to support both residents and families.

Tracy Gallacher, Carrondale manager, said her team had shown an “outstanding contribution and dedication towards keeping the residents connected with different generations during the Covid pandemic”.

She added: “The staff have all gone above and beyond, ensuring the residents are safe and connected with their families.

“The staff have also made very high efforts in continuing to co-ordinate communication and visits to their loved ones throughout the pandemic.

“All staff are over the moon we won this award and I am proud to have such a great staff team.”
