Virus patients in Forth Valley hospitals again falls

The number of patients being treated for coronavirus in Forth Valley hospitals has fallen for the second day.

Figures released this afternoon by the Scottish Government reveal there are currently 77 in patients with or suspected to have Covid-19.

Yesterday the figure was 80.

The number in intensive care is less than five.

There have been 451 people who have tested positive for coronavirus in Forth Valley, an increase of 20 in the last 24 hours and a rise of 127 in the past week.

Latest figures show that of these positive tests 59 people have died.

A total of 38,233 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these 30,413 were confirmed negative and 7820 were positive.

There have been 893 deaths reported.
