This is what Falkirk Herald readers think about working from home post-lockdown

Readers of the Falkirk Herald have had their say on working from home during the coronavirus crisis, and whether they’d like to continue to do so post-lockdown.

Our online lockdown survey gives an insight into how the crisis has impacted people across the Falkirk district, and what they would like to see happen in the coming weeks and months.

In total we asked readers 25 questions on their attitude towards the lockdown, and of these two focused on how people feel about working from home.

Around a third of Falkirk Herald readers (34 per cent) who completed our survey said they have had to work from home for the first time or to a much greater extent due to the coronavirus outbreak.

By comparison, on a Scottish level, 36 per cent answered that they haven’t, 40 per cent said they have and 24 per cent said this question wasn’t applicable.

We also asked to what extent readers would like to continue working from home - even after restrictions are lifted.

The majority of Falkirk Herald readers who took part in the survey said they would like to work from home ‘some of the time’.

Only eight per cent said they would like to work entirely from home in future.

Nationally, 43 per cent answered ‘I’d like to work from home some of the time’, 24 per cent answered ‘I’d like to work from home most of the time’, 21 per cent said ‘I don’t want to work from home at all’ and nine per cent answered ‘I’d like to work entirely from home’.
