Six more positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Forth Valley in last 48 hours

Saturday’s figures show no increase after a rise on Friday that was higher than in recent days

After six more positive cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Forth Valley according to Friday’s daily figures, there was no further increase on Saturday.

The latest data from the Scottish Government shows that the total number of cases recorded in the health board area since the outbreak began remains at 1076 – the same number as Friday’s figures which had shown an increase of six from 1070.

According to the government data less than five people confirmed as having Covid-19 are currently being treated in the region’s hospitals and less than five are in the intensive care unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.A total of 275,751 people in Scotland have been tested to date through NHS Scotland labs and the UK Government’s testing programme. Of these, 257,464 were confirmed negative and 18,287 were positive.
