Seven new positive cases of Covid-19 recorded in Forth Valley

The number of newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Forth Valley has continued to rise this week.

Sunday’s daily figures published by the Scottish Government show an increase of seven new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

This follows smaller increases of three cases on Friday and Saturday and two cases on Thursday.

There have now been a total of 1133 positive cases of Covid-19 in the health board region since the outbreak began – an increase of 15 from 1118 on Wednesday.

The local rise overnight came as Sunday’s figures show there were 123 confirmed cases across Scotland.

Since the outbreak began there have been a total of 548,290 people in Scotland who have been tested for Covid-19.

Of these, 20,318 were positive and 527,972 were confirmed negative.
