Over 500 positive tests for coronavirus in Forth Valley

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Forth Valley has risen by over 170 in the past week.

Latest figures issued by the Scottish Government this afternoon reveal there have been 509 positive tests – and increase of 58 in the last 24 hours.

Of these, 78 are currently being treated in hospital, one more than yesterday.

However, less than five of these are currently in intensive care.

Across Scotland 39,612 people have been tested. Of these, 31,425 were confirmed negative and 8187 were positive.

Sadly 903 patients who tested positive have died, an increase of ten on the previous day.
